The DUCSU Law and Politics Review is a double blind peer reviewed journal. It welcomes original contributions to its inaugural journal to be published in March 2020. This is a dynamic platform for students of the University of Dhaka, scholars and practitioners from home and abroad to discuss and debate on a broad range of issues related to “Bangladesh in the next decade as a Graduating LDC: Challenges & Ways out”. The sub-themes are as follows:

a) Repercussions as a graduating LDC

b) Lessons from the History

c) Politics in the age of 4th Industrial Revolution

d) Mujibbad as a global model of political ideology

e) Alternative Business Models in the next decade

f) Future of energy and natural resources

The inaugural issue of the Journal shall contain scholarly articles, book reviews, interviews, policy updates, case comments, and legislature review.


1. The word limit for different kinds of submissions are as follows:

a) scholarly articles: 5,000 to 15,000 words;

b) interviews: maximum 5,000 words;

c) policy updates, case comments, legislative review: 2,500 to 5,000 words.

2. The submissions should be in conformity with the latest APA referencing style for citation.

3. The draft of the submission should not contain any mention of or reference to the author’s identity. A brief bio of the author within 250 words, which shall include the author’s name, course of study, additional qualification and contact details, should be attached in another document of the same email.

4. The submission must be made in a Microsoft Word document.

5. The submission must be an original and unpublished work.


a) The abstract of the submission within 500 words must be submitted within January 15, 2020.

b) The full paper must be submitted within February 15, 2020.
